  Foods high in protein as we know are very important to people who want to gain weight but in fact foods high in protein are also very important to people who want to lose weight.
  There are two kinds of people, one group have a desire to gain weight, the other want to lose weight. But all those look for foods high in protein, something strange. Isn't it? In fact it's not stranger because if we understand how our body treats foods we can understand why both groups of people look for foods high in protein. In human body there are three hormones that play a big role:

Insulin:

  Different foods are treated differently in the body. Carbs: For instance, are converted to glucose, which is a form of sugar that your body uses for energy. After we eat, our blood glucose level goes up, and that triggers our brain to tell our pancreas to start releasing insulin, a hormone that motivates cells to store glucose. It's a process that turns on an enzyme that causes our body to store fat and turns off another enzyme that causes fat burning.

Ghrelin:

  A hormone that stimulates our appetite. When our stomach empties, our ghrelin levels rise. It’s a very powerful driver of hunger.Ghrelin also tends to send fat to our middle.

Leptin:

  Is stimulated by fat cells. Liptin hormone motivates brain to lower our appetite and increase the amount of energy we burn when we have an extra fat stores. NOW the question is why those people look for foods high in protein

 For people who want to build muscles. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics said that we should consume about 0.64 to 0.82 grams of protein per pound of body weight each day to build muscles and gain weight




  For people who want to lose weight, they need protein for fill up.

Fill up on Protein

  Increase in protein, may promote satiety and facilitate weight loss through reduced energy consumption. As I say ghrilin stimulates our appetite. But when we eat foods content protein we are increasing satiety so we decrease ghrilin and finally turn off hunger.

-Casein : 86.2 g 
-Soy protein : 79.1 g 
-Hen's egg (especially egg whites) : 86.5 g 
-Natural cheese : 44 g 
-Wheat germ : 32 g 
-Black scraper : 58.9 g 
 -Cattle, Beef product : 54.8 g 
 -Miso, one cup : 32 g 
 -Fish. 
 -Beans and Legumes. 
 -Nuts and Seeds. 
 -

 - 
 etc... 

   There is a long list of foods high in protein but I choose these foods because they are low in cholesterol and they are cheap and available.
